Finally it has been confirmed that Windows 7 would be released in the holiday season this year.Here is what the Microsoft Senior Vice President Bill Veghte said “A holiday release is accomplishable,” which clearly states that Windows 7 would be available this year during the holiday season.
Further adding to it Paul Thurrott said that his expectation is that Microsoft will finalize Windows in late July or August and begin selling it to customers in September.

It has been long since we have posted about the latest Windows 7 builds.Good amounts of build has been compiled since our previous post about the same.Some of the latest build compiled are Build 7110,build 7109,build 7108,build 7084,build 7083,build 7082

The Chinese version of Windows 7 Build 7106 has been leaked and is available for download on various torrent sites.The Build string is 6.1.7106.0.winmain.090408-1623 which shows that the build was compiled on 8th April.Till yet the Chinese version of Windows 7 build 7106 has been leaked.

The latest build compiled in Build 71XX category is Windows 7 build 7106 whose build string is 6.1.7106.0.winmain.090408-1623 which shows that the build was compiled on 8th April and simultaneously Build in 70XX is being compiled.The latest build in 70XX category is 7080.0.winmain_win7rc.090408-1900 which was too compiled on 8th April.The builds in 71XX category does belong to the pre RTM builds and Build 70XX definitely belongs to the RC escrow category .Still their has been believed that the RC Build would be build 7100.

Windows 7 is expected to boost global PC shipments by more than 10% on year from the on-year growth of negative 5% this year, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report citing sources at market watchers.
Desktop PCs will enjoy the majority of the expected increase in demand, while netbooks will also be affected due to the new operating system’s touchscreen features. However, notebooks are unlikely to benefit much from the new OS, according to the paper.

As you probably know, Windows 7 build 7057, a build recently leaked to the public, sports a new  login UI background. Delivering on the “more customizable” promise, Windows 7 now supports the ability to load images into the background of the login screen without the use of third-party software or manual hacks.

Initially their were reports that Windows 7 RC would be released in April but the Russian website wzor.net has posted that Microsoft has updated it’s schedule RC-Escrow build would be available in the last week of April and the full fledged RC build at the end of May.According to the site the latest build released was build 7061 and was compiled on 11th march 2009 and the build string is 7061.0.090311-1856.
