Windows Live One Care not compatible with Windows 7

30 March 2009 No Comment

I just tried to install Windows Live One Care on Windows 7 and got the following error: Windows Live One Care is incompatible with this version of Windows. For more information contact Microsoft

Windows Live One Care

After searching a bit I found the following KB article which states

When you try to upgrade to Windows 7, you receive a compatibility message: “Compatibility report… These programs might not work property after the upgrade. We recommend uninstalling these programs before upgrading.”

It definitely means that Windows Live One Care wouldn’t work with Windows 7.Microsoft have already announced that they would be discontinuing Windows Live OneCare from mid 2009,so it would be interesting to see when MS launches a new anti-virus.Already their has been news about the new security system by Microsoft codenamed Morro
